You ignore the man. He continues to try to get your attention for the rest of the trip, but as you near the port city, the guards approach to herd you.
You are lifted to your feet and walked out with the rest of the frigate's prisoners. Topside, you watch as the prisoners who are sick or too weak to walk are thrown overboard. One of the crewman nudges you forward, averting your eyes from the horror.
You think about jumping overboard yourself and trying to swim away. Others think that, too, and are shot by the many rifleman standing guard around the docks.
You are led down the walkboard and onto the dock with the rest of the prisoners. Other prisoners from other ships have been gathered. You watch as they are led into a pen near the shore.
The dock is very crowded and noisy, and it would not be hard to start some trouble here if you really wanted.

The man asks you once again to cut him free, as well. You ignore him and make your way to the stairs that lead to the deck above.
As you walk away, the man yells for the guard.
There is some space to hide behind the stairs, or you can charge up them, knife slashing.

Summoning what strength you have left, you manage to slip your own bound wrists over your head, temporarily popping your shoulders out of place.
The man next you watches, at first horrified then impressed. He whispers "nice, now cut me loose."
You snatch the knife away quickly and begin cutting yourself free. After a few seconds of vigorous sawing, your bonds fall free.

You wait until the guard is distracted by talk from the deck above before you whisper to the man next to you, asking what he wants.
He turns slightly, revealing his bound hands behind his back, and held between them is a small knife.
"It dropped below deck this morning," the man says. "Untie me and I'll do the same for you."

Finally, after months at sea, locked-up below the deck of an Imperial frigate, your involuntary voyage has come to an end.
You still bare the scars from the battle during which you were imprisoned. You overheard conversations of the crewman from the decks above that the battle was only one of many skirmishes this vessel met on its journey.
You also know the vessel's name, Sargo, a small scout vessel of the Imperial Navy, and that its destination is a large port city called Marassa.
The sound of gulls confirms the impending end of this voyage. The taste of dry land is a guarantee you're sure of, but what fate the imperials have in store for you here remains to be seen.
Surrounding you, coughing in the dark, smothering underbelly of the Sargo, are other prisoners. None have spoken much since your capture two days ago, for fear of tasting the whip of their guards. However, the man next to you, bound by ropes at his wrists and ankles, is tapping you with his elbow.
IGNORE HIM
SEE WHAT HE WANTS

You untie the man next to you, he thanks you and makes good on his promise to help you as well.
"My name is Fritz," he says. "Listen, we're going to be sold as slaves as soon as we make it to the port. If we work together, though, we can escape this ship."
You're not sure whether to trust him or not, but you keep listening.
"I've been paying attention to the sailors above deck. They always make rope on the far side of the deck after their morning duties. Here in a few minutes, we can ambush the guard, run topside, and jump overboard. Land isn't too far away."

You duck behind the stairs. The guard and some of the crewman come below deck to see what the fuss is.
As they reach the bottom of the stairs, the man who was next to you earlier shouts to them, telling them where you are.
You now have to fight 3 Imperial Deckhands (2,1,1,1)
